7 to 15 Days Later

There have been some changes to note among the indoor plants.

Not in the beets, which look like they're celebrating something.
Not in the peas, unless you count rampant, forest-like growth.  I suppose I should count the fecundity of the peas as change, but they've been up to it for a few days now.
It's on the windowsill.  Before, you may recall, the scarlet runner beans in the pots looked like this:
Now they look like this:
The nasturtiums are getting in on the action (or at least, one of them is).
The string beans are trying, but still lurking below the surface.  I remember last year being very surprised that our string beans kept turning purple if we let them sit on the vine too long.  It's a pretty lilac-y shade, but not a colour I usually associate with non-poisonous food.
Actually, one of the beans looks like it's a breech birth like the basil was.
The basil has also changed.  I seem to have forgotten that the little cups need watering more frequently.  I also seem to have forgotten that day after day of glorious sunshine, while nice for everyone, is hard on the little cups' water supplies.  Some basil survived, but there are definitely some cups with no sprouts where once there were sprouts.
I'm so happy about the new pots with sprouts where once there were no sprouts that I'm not worried about the basil.  Plus, it sprouts in 2 days!  That's easy-to-grow.  The current windowsill-dwelling batch have taken longer than 2 days, but their packages said 7 to 15 days to sprout and they're obligingly erring on the side of 7.
