Chutney the cat stays indoors all the time. She needs to be able to sit at the window and see the world or else she gets bored out of her skull. Actually, she gets over-stimulated on windy days when the leaves are falling, but in general we like her to be able to get kicks watching folks watch her. We have learned that she can only be trusted with covered plant containers. Eventually, the covers will come off everything and we'll be left scrambling to find windows without views that get sunshine.
She's such a sweetie, though. She's worth the trouble.
